I've been playing with my iPad now for a few weeks now and I STILL love it!!
Here are a few of the Apps I bought to make my iPad experience simply amazing...
1.Since I'm organizationally challenged, I purchased Todo for iPad by Appigo. It was well worth $4.99! I love it. It was easy for me to set up, easy for me to follow and it keeps me on task. I can plug in tasks for my classes, for my administrative duties, for my art work, for my personal health and for everything else I need to do. I set several reminders and it's such a cool feeling to be able to check something off as completed BEFORE my boss asks me about it.
2. I also downloaded Dropbox for iPad by Dropbox. It's FREE!! I know that I may be the only person in the world that loses or misplaces my jump drives. I have files on my work computer, my laptop, my home computer, and several jump-drives wherever they may be. With Dropbox all of my things are in one place. I downloaded Dropbox on all of my computers and my iPad. It's so easy. I type an assignment, I save it and drag it to Dropbox. Once it's in Dropbox I can access it, update it, or do whatever I need no matter where I am or no matter what I'm using! FABULOUS!!
3. Lesson Plans... hate them. I wanted a place to put all of my lesson plans, so that I can tweak them as needed or show them to that "auditor" whenever they may appear. I'm trying to get rid of the binders. I have handwritten lesson plans, but I wanted to go digital this year... this is going to be my GREEN year! I spent $2.99 on My LessonPlan by ZappityApps.com. It's more geared for K-12 educators, BUT the format is so basic and contains everything I need, that even at the community college level it works. I only have 2 classes this summer so the real test will come this fall when my class load quadruples! :)
4. This app has nothing to do with school... this app is to help me keep track of my finances. I downloaded Pageonce! I started with the free version and enjoyed it so much that I upgraded to the Pro version. I love getting reminders when bills are due. I can see every detail about my money, how I spend it, when I spend it, and where I spend it. Pageonce notifies me when my accounts are credited so I know when my bills have been paid. It's AWESOME...
I'm sure as the summer progresses, I'll be exploring more apps and when I find one I like... I'll share!
Ciao,
Shellie
